“Community organizers” are not the only tricksters I have heard about in our government.
I believe the president said that SS checks might have to be mailed after Aug. 2…a couple of days late. But then that depends on which news I was listening to at the time, right? 🙂

Interesting that you posted this under the “About Robert” portion of my blog. I can’t remember what it is that you might be referring to. I guess I should say, “to which you are referring.”

But thanks for the comment anyway. You are right that the president did say that he couldn’t guarantee that SS checks would be mailed. If we they don’t pass a increase in the debt limit and the SS checks don’t go out it will be because he has chosen not to send them out. There is plenty of money in the bank to pay our debt obligation and SS and the defense budget as well. But he would have to make some server cuts elsewhere and that wouldn’t be pretty.

Thanks for the kind words. A friendship of so many years is heartwarming. The memories strengthen me as I contend with the little aches and pains accompanying a long and happy life.

I have enjoyed reading your blogs. You are right on target with your messages. You are a real “Word Smith” Robert. Did you miss your calling? I am sure you were a very good engineer, but?
